Jason ReidJason Reid
Assistant Director of Player Development

Jason Reid was a student-athlete attending Olympic Heights High School in Boca Raton, FL where he was exposed to fundamental philosophies that would impact his adult life.  Through long hours in the classroom and perseverance on the field, Reid was recognized as a member of the All State Team (Third Team) in football and placed second in the state finals in the 215 lbs weight division in wrestling.

He was offered a football scholarship to play at Illinois State University in Normal, IL. There, he played outside linebacker and safety during his four years as a Redbird. Reid graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations with a Minor in Economics in 2003.

Currently, Jason is serves as the Membership Director for the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA in Boynton Beach, FL. There, he oversees a team of 12 staffers responsible for assessing the requirements of new members and placing them in programs that meet their needs. Their ultimate goal is for children and families to have a great experience at the DeVos-Blum Family YMCA.

As Assistant Director of Player Development of Prep and Sports, Inc., Jason’s motivation stems from his early development. “ I enjoy working with kids at Prep and Sports because I see so much of myself in them and know with just a little help, they can go a long way.” Jason's duties as Assistant Director of Player Development include evaluating current athletic abilities of each student-athlete and develop comprehensive training regiments which will maximize their potential.
